Posted by Houston Fertility Institute on March 2nd, 2018

The risk of passing on a genetic disease is a fear many prospective parents face, but with testing options available today couples can be proactive and make informed decisions in their family planning. In an interview with ABC13 TV in Houston, Dr. Craig Witz, Director of Clinical Research at Houston Fertility Institute, discusses preimplantation genetic testing, including Preimplantation Genetic Screening (PGS) and Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGT). In the video, Dr. Witz explains the difference between the two and why testing is often recommended, even in cases where the parents are unaware of a genetic disorder.
